Description for B&B:

Our chambres dhôtes, a charming French Guesthouse or Bed and Breakfast, is situated in the picturesque market town of Felletin, only 10 minutes away from Aubusson. Located in the department of La Creuse, in the beautiful Limousin Region, our guesthouse is conveniently positioned between Limoges and Clermont-Ferrand, making it an ideal starting point to explore the stunning Auvergne region, including La Mont Dore and the Puy-de-Dôme.

The main house has been lovingly restored, preserving its original features while adding carefully selected antique furniture. The building primarily dates back to the 18th century, with the fireplace in chambre 1 proudly displaying the carved date of 1761. However, parts of the house may have even older origins, as it stands on the site of one of the four gates to the medieval fortified town.

We offer traditional French chambres dhôtes with a touch of luxury, providing spacious and beautifully furnished ensuite rooms at affordable prices. For our guests' convenience, we also offer delicious vegetarian evening meals.

The nightly rate for either Chambre 1 or 2, accommodating 1 or 2 persons, is 50 Euros. Chambre 3 can be used as an apartment, featuring a kitchen and a large bathroom with a full-sized bath and rain-shower. The rate for Chambre 3 is 60 Euros with the kitchen or 50 Euros without. Additional beds can be added to the rooms for a supplementary charge of 10 Euros per bed per night. A delightful breakfast is available at a cost of 6 Euros per person.

Indulge in our vegetarian evening meals for 20 Euros per person, which include three courses, cheese, and coffee.

Felletin serves as the gateway to the enchanting plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by breathtaking countryside, forests, and lakes. La Creuse is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, and photography throughout the year. With its remarkable churches and architectural gems, Felletin itself has much to offer without venturing far.

One of Felletin's unique features is its eau de source, the natural spring water that flows from the taps, providing pure mountain water without any chemicals. This water contributes to the delicious flavor of our locally brewed beer, crafted in a microbrewery in town.

The town of Felletin hosts a vibrant market every Friday and a festive Christmas market during winter. In the summer months, visitors can enjoy a world music and dance festival. Other special events include a book festival (journée du livre), a beer festival (fête de la bière), and the lively fête de Felletin.

The town square and its quaint cobblestone streets offer everything you need, from charming cafes, bars, and restaurants to boulangeries, pâtisseries, supermarkets, banks, gift shops, and a tourist information office. There is also a larger supermarket located on the outskirts of town, within walking distance.

Don't miss the opportunity to explore the remarkable churches and discover hidden gems like the former diamond processing plant. Felletin is renowned for its tapestry, much like its neighboring town of Aubusson. You can visit the famous Pinton factory, where the world-famous tapestry depicting Christ in Coventry Cathedral was produced. If you are seeking a chambres dhôtes in Aubusson, why not consider 3 Place des Arbres? Only 10 kilometers from Aubusson, our luxury guesthouse offers the perfect accommodation.

The tranquil river Creuse flows by Felletin, providing the perfect setting for memorable evenings spent savoring a glass of champagne and indulging in locally produced cheese on delicious French bread.

La Creuse is a truly captivating destination, allowing you to experience the best of the Limousin region while being on the border of the Auvergne. With just an hour's drive, you can explore the awe-inspiring Puy de Dome, a destination that will leave you breathless.
