With a rich history spanning 1000 years, Loches is home to architectural wonders such as the Keep, the Former Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame (now St Ours), the Royal Apartments, and the Chancellery. Since 2000, Loches has been recognized as part of the national network of Towns and Areas of Artistic and Historic Interest.Situated at the heart of the Touraine region, known as France's garden, Loches is surrounded by vineyards, gastronomic delights, fresh vegetables, and delicious cheese. Within just 100 km, you can explore some of the most iconic castles of the Loire Valley, including Chenonceau, Chambord, Amboise, Chinon, and Villandry.
Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a family vacation, our recently renovated property offers a charming apartment and a lovely studio. Together, they provide the comfort of an apartment with the convenience of breakfast service.
The apartment features an entrance hall with a comfortable sofa bed (160x200 cm), a television with TNT and DVD capabilities. There is also a salon dining room with a sofa, a library, and a double table. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, induction stove (4 burners), oven, microwave, dishwasher, and various cooking appliances and utensils. The bedroom offers a double bed (160x200 cm) and a single bed (90x190 cm). The bathroom includes a separate bathtub and toilet.
The studio consists of a main room with a kitchen area, including a fridge, electric plates (2 burners), multifunction oven, and various cooking appliances. The sleeping area features a comfortable bed (160x200 cm) and a television with TNT and DVD capabilities. The bathroom is equipped with a shower, complete with a small protective wall and tent, making it easier to bathe babies.
We offer a range of complimentary services, including bed linen, covers, towels for the bathroom and kitchen, baby equipment (high chair, bed, small bath, potty) upon request, high-speed internet access, electricity, heating, and water. Small pets are allowed upon request. Laundry facilities with a washing machine and dryer are available, as well as a garden-drying option for a touch of poetry. Additional amenities include a mop with bucket, vacuum cleaner, iron and ironing board, electrical adapters upon request, and a hairdryer. If you arrive at Loches station, we can arrange a taxi service to take you to the apartment or to a car rental garage.
Additional services are available upon request, such as lunch packets, fresh bread, and croissants from the local bakery in the morning, cleaning service, cleaning products, taxi service from Tours or Amboise station to Loches, the apartment, or a car rental garage. We also offer babysitting services for an evening out, Italian lessons (details in a specific section).

Directions
If you are arriving by car from the motorway, there are three different routes you can take to reach Loches:
- If you are coming from the A85, take exit number 11 for Bléré/Amboise/Loches. Then, head south on D31 for 21 km until you reach Loches.
- If you are coming from the A20, take exit number 13 for Tours/Buzançais. From there, go northwest on D943 for 64 km until you reach Loches.
- If you are coming from the A10, take exit number 25 for Sainte Maure-de-Touraine/Chinon/Loches. Then, head east on D760 for 32 km until you reach Loches.
Once you arrive in Loches, make sure to follow the signs for the "Château". Go through the Poitevine Port and you will find yourself on Mail de la Poterie, which is the main road of the city. The citadel's old houses will be on your left, and the parking lot will be on your right. Congratulations, you have arrived!
If you are arriving by air, there are two airports you can fly into:
- If you are flying into Paris, you can take a TGV train from Charles de Gaulle airport to Tours St. Pierre des Corps. From there, you can make connections to other airports. For more information, visit www.aeroportsdeparis.fr.
- If you are flying into Tours, you can find flights from London Stansted, Manchester, Southampton, Dublin, Porto, Marseille, Figari, and Ajaccio. Once you arrive in Tours, you have two options: you can take a shuttle bus to Tours station and then catch a train to Loches, or you can rent a car.
If you are arriving by train from Tours or Châteauroux, you can visit the website www.trains-horaires.com/gares/loches for all the necessary information. Please note that one of the free services available upon request is a transfer from the Loches station to the apartment or to the car rental garage. At the Loches station, you will find TER ticket machines, bus and coach services, and parking. The train lines that serve Loches station are Tours and Châteauroux.
