Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to our guest room at the Old Castle, located in the heart of the Loire Valley. Situated in the charming village of Onzain, we offer a stunning view of the Chaumont-sur Loire castle and its garden festival.

This spacious suite, measuring 70 square meters, is located on the upper floor of the historic wing of the castle. It has its own private terrace and entrance, providing complete independence for our guests. The suite consists of four rooms, each with its own unique charm and character.

On one side, you will find a room that showcases artifacts and remnants from the old castle. This is where breakfast is served in inclement weather. Climbing the stairs, you will enter the main room, flooded with natural light from four large windows on either side.

On the other side, a venerable stone staircase leads to the suite, offering access to a small covered terrace nestled against the remains of a 14th-century tower. Breakfast can be enjoyed here when the weather permits.

The spacious master bedroom features a comfortable 180cm bed or two 90cm beds. There is also a day bed, which can accommodate a child.

Adjacent to the bedroom is an office with a fireplace and TV, equipped with a 90cm bed.

Another room, overlooking the moat, serves as a small living room and dressing room, with a 90cm bed. This room also provides access to the bathroom, which includes a toilet and bathtub.

For families with young children, we can provide a cot and baby equipment upon request.

Outside, you can explore our park, large terrace (220m2), and secure moat. A boat is available for your use, allowing you to admire the swans and ducks that inhabit the 5000m2 of water.

Please note that we have two dogs, Willow and Weston, who guard the moat. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate pets.

As an approved establishment by "Gîtes de France" (3 ears), our guest room at the Old Castle is open year-round, but reservations are required.

During the season, the Association for moats "The Arts of Helion" organizes concerts and shows. If you are our guest on the day of a performance, you will be our special guest.

If there is a particular piece of furniture in your room that has caught your eye, it may be available for purchase from the Museum-Gallery of the Old Castle.

Appréciations pour Les Douves, Onzain:

Sejour très réussi!
Review by: Exbrayat, Juin 30 2012 12:22PM
