This charming country cottage is the perfect accommodation for up to eight people. It has been approved as a "gite de France" with a 3"épis" rating. The cottage is a beautiful stone building that dates back to the 17th century, but has been completely renovated for maximum comfort. It is located in the peaceful town of St. Margaret of Elle, situated between Bayeux and St. Lo.

The cottage is conveniently close to the famous landing beaches, as well as the Regional Park of Cotentin and Bessin. This makes it an ideal base for exploring the Normandy coast and the department of Manche, including attractions like the Bay of Veys and Mount St. Michel.

In addition to its great location, there are plenty of activities nearby to keep you entertained. You can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, or biking through the beautiful groves and villages along the Vire. There is also a nearby aquatic center in St. Lo, as well as opportunities for golfing, fishing, and bowling. For those interested in history and culture, there are many heritage sites worth visiting. Families with children will appreciate the availability of games and activities for the little ones.

The cottage itself is independent and offers a comfortable and spacious living space. On the ground floor, you will find an entrance, a large kitchen (25 m2), a living room (40 m2) with sofas and armchairs, a separate toilet, and a bathroom. Upstairs, there are five bedrooms with a combination of single and double beds, as well as another bathroom and two toilets.

The cottage is equipped with modern amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, dryer (both indoor and outdoor), wall oven, ceramic hob, and electric heating and stove.

The rental rates for the cottage vary depending on the season. In high season, the weekly rate is €550, in mid-season it is €385, and in low season it is €290. There is also the option to rent the cottage for a weekend (€190) or a midweek stay (€240). Monthly rentals are also possible.

Additional charges for water, electricity, and heating apply from November 1 to April 30 (€25 per week) and from May 1 to October 31 (€15 per week). If you wish to bring a pet, there is an additional charge of €10 per week.

For your convenience, bed linen and towels can be provided for an additional fee of €10 per person. There is also the option to have the end-of-stay cleaning taken care of for €35.

If you prefer to travel by train, the closest train station, Lison station, is situated 3 km away. This station provides convenient connections to Caen, Cherbourg, and Paris.

For those traveling by road from Caen or Cherbourg, take the N12 and exit at 37a. Follow the signs towards Ballymena, Saint Lo, and Cerizy Forest.
