This is a charming 15th-century rural house situated in the picturesque valley of the Besbre - Sologne Bourbonnaise. It showcases the typical architectural style of the region, complete with a traditional bread oven and fireplace. The walls are constructed using wooden beams, filled with a mixture of mud and straw, resting on a sturdy stone foundation. Additionally, there is a newer masonry building that houses the ensuite bathroom, designed to resemble a sheepfold. The entire property has been lovingly restored by skilled local craftsmen who have employed traditional techniques, while also incorporating modern comforts to enhance the overall experience.

Previously restored by the former tenant, an old farmer who worked on the land of Castle Fougis, the house exudes rustic charm and character. Nestled within a picturesque courtyard, both the house and courtyard offer stunning views of the Erich Engelbrecht Sculpture Park and the magnificent Castle Fougis. As an added bonus, our guests have the privilege of enjoying a complimentary visit to the sculpture park.
