Located in a tranquil sanctuary, you will discover a one-of-a-kind retreat in the midst of nature, where you can truly unwind and find serenity. The room is situated in a separate building from our main house, offering a cozy space of 28 m² equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Inside, you will find a comfortable 140cm bed and a 90cm bed that can also be used as a sofa if there are only two guests. Additionally, we provide a library, table, chairs, mini-fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker, kettle, and crockery for your convenience. Adjacent to the room, a beautiful garden awaits you, where you can relax under the shade of the pergola or bask in the sun while enjoying a breathtaking view. Children can also enjoy a shared play area with other guests.
Please note that we accept payment by check. The price for the room is 45€ for two people or 55€ for three people, including a small organic breakfast (one double bed and one single bed). If you would like to dine with us, we offer organic and vegetarian meals for an additional cost of 12.50€ per person, available on-site and by reservation only (limited to Fridays and Saturdays). We regret to inform you that we do not allow pets.
In the village, you can explore the creations of a local potter and purchase delicious cheese from a shepherdess. Within the Baronnies region, there are various attractions to visit, including a castle, a Cistercian abbey, a breathtaking gorge, an interpretive trail known as the "Little Amazon," as well as numerous charming villages where time seems to stand still. The scenery is truly enchanting and has earned its classification as a place of outstanding beauty.

Description for Gite

The "Barn Owl" cottage is located in a tranquil village of the Baronnies, sitting at an elevation of 660 meters above sea level. Immerse yourself in the peacefulness of nature while enjoying stunning mountain views. The house provides easy access to marked hiking trails, perfect for leisurely walks.

Situated on a 3,500m² plot of land, the cottage shares the space with our main house and a separate guesthouse. This renovated barn features a ground floor with a combined living room and kitchen, a bathroom, and a separate toilet. Upstairs, you will find two interconnected rooms. One room offers a 140cm bed, while the other, smaller room is equipped with bunk beds for children.

A charming garden corner offers the ideal setting for alfresco dining, allowing you to savor your meals while taking in the breathtaking mountain landscape. (We also offer a bed and breakfast option for 2 or 3 people at the "Chickadees" on the same site.)

Rental details:
- Weekly rate of 285 euros outside of school holidays, and 385 euros during school holidays.
- Unfortunately, we do not accept pets.
- Payment can be made by check.
- At the end of your stay, a tourist tax of 0.50 euros per person per day (free for those under 18) will be collected.

Additional services:
- For your convenience, we provide a sufficient supply of wood free of charge to feed the wood stove during chilly nights. The primary heating source remains electric heating.
- Linen rental is available as an optional service. Single bed sheets are priced at 10 euros, double bed sheets at 15 euros, and towels at 5 euros per person. Payment for this service can be made upon arrival.
- Upon departure, we offer two options for spring cleaning. You can choose to handle the cleaning yourself, or for a fee of 50 euros, we will take care of it for you.

Surrounding attractions:
The town of Lies is located 8 kilometers from Bagnère-de-Bigorre, a charming spa town. Bagnère-de-Bigorre features a delightful farmer's market every Saturday, as well as a spa center (Aquensis), cinema, theater, and swimming pool. In the wider area, you will find the ski resort Domaine "TOURMALET - BAREGES La Mongie" just 20 kilometers away, the majestic Peak Midi de Bigorre (known as the ship of the stars), and the famous city of Lourdes. Our valleys offer numerous opportunities for both moderate and challenging mountain hikes.

Super régions , chambre dhôtes sans grand standing , mais elle a plein de charme et ce qu'il faut pour passer un séjour très agréable .Et en plus de la gentillesse des propriétaires le panorama est grandiose . Merci

Début novembre...Petit WE de repos dans un endroit paisible et un accueil fort sympathique.
La chambre équipée est très confortable et laménagement cuisine permet d'être indépendant pour les repas.Nous n'avons pas pu goûter aux repas du soir maison car nous sommes restés trop peu de temps.Nous recommandons cet endroit et un grand merci à nos hôtes pour leur service.
