Green Horizons is a one-of-a-kind house nestled in six acres (6000 square meters) of picturesque park and woodland on the outskirts of Puivert village in the Languedoc region of the South of France. We invite you to indulge in the simple pleasures of life, such as sipping wine on our sunny terrace, strolling through the meadow, unwinding in a hammock beneath the refreshing shade of our trees, or simply relaxing by the swimming pool. Additionally, you are welcome to make use of our pool house bar and summer kitchen, complete with a built-in barbecue. With its perfect blend of tranquility, beauty, and convenient proximity to village shops, the swimming lake, the beach, and a wide range of activities, Green Horizons promises comfort and a warm welcome to individuals, couples, and families alike.

DOUBLE ROOM WITH BREAKFAST:

Our charming double room offers a delightful experience with its spacious four-poster bed, ample storage space, and stunning views of our grounds and woods. We also provide tea and coffee-making facilities for your convenience. Adjacent to the bedroom is a large private bathroom, fully equipped with a bath, separate shower, and an array of amenities such as towels, a hairdryer, shampoo, shower gel, and toothpaste.

To start your day off right, we offer a wholesome complimentary breakfast featuring a selection of cereals, fruit, yogurt, croissants, fresh bread with honey and jam, cheese, boiled eggs, fruit juices, and your choice of coffee or tea. On sunny mornings, breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace or in the conservatory.

Should you desire a packed lunch, we are happy to accommodate your request. Our packed lunches include breads, cheeses, ham, salad, fruit, and wine, with a cost of 7.50 euros per person (5 euros for children).

For cozy evenings, our spacious lounge with a welcoming log fire, books, board games, and a range of DVDs is at your disposal.

The Braque Suite is a bright and spacious self-catering studio apartment, complete with its own private terrace and barbecue, overlooking our beautiful garden and pool.

Perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or families with a young child, the studio features a well-equipped kitchen area, a comfortable double bed, a cozy sofa corner, a dining table with chairs, and ample storage space. The bathroom boasts a refreshing rainforest shower and is equipped with a hairdryer, towels, shampoo, shower gel, and more. We can provide a travel cot and baby bath, or a futon for an older child. Your private entrance includes a dedicated driveway and parking space. The apartment is stocked with a range of DVDs, English television, books, board games, and a stereo/CD player. Enjoy a delightful meal or a glass of wine on your own sunny terrace or beneath the charming pergola. Explore our grounds or take a refreshing swim in our spacious pool, complete with plenty of sun-loungers. You can even cook your own meals in our pool-house summer kitchen.

A welcome pack awaits your arrival, including tea, coffee, sugar, milk, and bread and cereal for breakfast. While the studio apartment is self-catering, you can venture down to the local boulangerie in the morning for freshly-baked bread and croissants, visit a nearby farm for milk straight from the source, fill a "cubis" with wine from an organic vineyard, and shop at local markets for seasonal vegetables. If you prefer a break from cooking, Puivert village offers a variety of restaurants, bars, and cafes around the lake during the season. Alternatively, Chalabre, just a 10-minute drive or 20-minute bike ride away, has bars and restaurants open all year round.

Directions

You have two options for transportation: there is ample parking available if you prefer to drive, or we can assist you in arranging a transfer from Quillan. Quillan has affordable (one euro) transport connections from Perpignan and Carcassonne, making it convenient for those traveling by train through Paris and Lille, or for those on a budget taking flights from the UK. If you need any guidance regarding transportation, feel free to ask for our advice.
