Description:

Description for B&B:

Originally constructed in 1860 by a wealthy Parisian industrialist overlooking Trouville, the Castle of Ferns offers a breathtaking view of the entire Côte Fleurie and Deauville. Originally designed as an elegant seaside villa adorned with an exotic winter garden, the castle underwent significant expansions and renovations in the 1920s, transforming it into a grand and stately residence.

Over the years, the castle's surroundings have evolved. The estate was divided, with its farm and much of its farmland being separated. Today, it stands as a magnificent complex, consisting of the castle itself and several additional structures, all nestled within a picturesque 5-hectare park.

During World War II, the castle fell under German occupation, serving as an annex for various purposes, including providing religious support, serving as a summer camp, and acting as a convalescent home. However, following the war, the castle was unfortunately abandoned and left in disrepair, remaining closed off until it was eventually purchased by an individual in 1997.

Since then, an extensive restoration campaign has breathed new life into the castle, erasing the traces of its tumultuous past and reviving its former glory. Today, the property has been saved and is open to guests and friends who can now enjoy the enchanting allure of this sleeping beauty. The passionate owners take great pleasure in sharing the castle's charms with all who visit.
