Description:

Description for B&B:

Situated in the Perche Sarthois region, the château de Chéronne and its scenic park are nestled amidst vast stretches of woodlands and meadows, spanning an impressive 400 hectares. The picturesque Chéronne river gracefully flows through the front pond, housing an assortment of diverse wildlife.

The entrance gatehouse, believed to be the very first castle, was constructed around 1490 and is recognized by the French National Trust.

The castle itself was built during the 16th century and underwent modifications in the 17th century to eliminate its defensive architectural elements such as moats and drawbridges. Furthermore, in the 19th century, the main facades were meticulously restored, embracing a distinct Renaissance style.

Situated between Chartres and Le Mans, our location is easily accessible. It is only a one-hour journey from Paris by TGV and a two-hour drive on the A86 motorway. Additionally, we are conveniently located near the Châteaux de La Loire.

If you are traveling by car, take the A86/A11 and exit at "La Ferté-Bernard". From there, follow the signs towards Connerré and Tuffé. Once in Tuffé, continue towards Bonnétable and take the first right towards St Denis-des-Coudrais. At the end of the descent, turn right when you see a blue sign indicating Cheronne, château et ferme.

For those traveling by train, you have two options. The first is to take the TGV to Le Mans and then a 30-minute taxi ride to our location (phone numbers: +332 43 24 92 92 / +336 63 11 79 10). The second option is to take the TER train to Connerré-Beillé and then a 10-minute taxi ride (phone numbers: +332 43 89 03 41 / +336 14 21 47 03).

If you prefer to travel by plane or helicopter, the nearest airport is Le Mans airport (phone number: +334 72 14 16 51).
