Description for B&B:

Queens Escape, located in Martel, France, is a charming bed & breakfast and wedding venue. Nestled within the historic Château de La Tuilerie, a majestic 200-year-old castle constructed by a former mayor of Martel in 1820, this enchanting establishment offers an unforgettable experience. The name "Queens Escape" was inspired by the Belgian Queen and royal family, who sought refuge here for four years during World War II, while the king resided in a separate château. Much like its past, we consider Queens Escape to be a peaceful sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. A visit to this extraordinary place allows you to immerse yourself in a bygone era and relish the expansive surroundings that provide a sense of tranquility.

Throughout the castle, we have embraced the queen theme, with each of our guest rooms named after illustrious queens. Among them, you will find Margrethe, the Queen of Denmark, Eleanor of Aquitaine, a former queen of both France and England, Catherine the Great, the luminous ruler of Russia, Cleopatra, the iconic Queen of the Nile, and Himiko, the former ruler of Wa (now known as Japan). Additionally, we are excited to announce the upcoming availability of the Queen Elizabeth II bridal suite, which promises to be a truly regal experience.
