Description:

Description for B&B:

The house's walls were an important element of the fortress during the Middle Ages, and one of the openings serves as a loophole. The house itself represents a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Its traditional aspects, which have endured for over 500 years, are evident in the ocher stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and the arched window in the common room. On the other hand, it also incorporates modern elements such as a well-equipped kitchen area with a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, four induction hotplates, and a combined grill-microwave oven. The dining area features a table and four chairs made of Altuglas, while the living area includes a two-seater sofa with an ottoman, nesting tables, and an adjustable flat-screen TV. The bedroom is furnished with a double four-poster bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, and there is also a spacious bathroom with a sink, shower cabin, and toilet.

Description for Gite

Welcome to our appart-house JACQUOU, situated in the charming medieval village of Beynac and Cazenac, which has been recognized as the 7th most beautiful village in France.

Our cozy accommodation spans across 40 square meters and comprises of two rooms and a spacious bathroom.

The highlight of our location is the majestic castle perched atop a towering limestone cliff, standing over 150 meters high. This remarkable fortress dates back to the 12th century, evoking the era of the noble barons of Beynac. Access to Jacquou is granted through the old paved path leading to the castle.

During the Middle Ages, the walls of our house formed an integral part of the village ramparts, with one of the openings even housing a murderer's hole. In autumn 2012, the house underwent renovations, seamlessly blending tradition and modernity.

The tradition of over 500 years is evident in the ocher stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and the charming pointed window in the common room.

However, we have also incorporated modern amenities, including a fully-equipped KITCHEN with a refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, induction cooktop with four burners, combined oven grill-microwave, a DINING ROOM area with a table and four chairs made of Altuglas, and a comfortable LIVING AREA with a two-seater sofa, pouf, nesting tables, and a flat-screen TV.

The bedroom features a cozy double bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, ensuring a restful night's sleep.

Additionally, the spacious bathroom includes a sink, a shower cabin with a spa feature, and a toilet.
