The accommodation at La Gigude is modest yet cozy. It features a spacious living room on the ground floor with an inviting fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen in the American style. On the first floor, there is a bathroom and three bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate up to 9 people. Two of the rooms have a double and single bed, while the third room has three single beds. Additionally, there are two extra bedrooms and another bathroom on the third floor, providing space for an additional 6 people.La Gigude is not just a place to stay, but also a working farm. With 30 goats and 60 sheep, the farm produces milk that is then transformed into delicious cheese, which is sold at local markets. Visitors are welcome to come and experience the farm firsthand, taste the cheese, and even purchase some to take home.
Situated at the crossroads of the two main footpaths in the Hautes Corbieres, the GR36 and the Sentier Cathare, La Gigude enjoys an exceptional geographical location. Surrounded by stunning countryside and offering magnificent views, you can expect a peaceful and unforgettable holiday experience.

Directions
To get to Couiza from Carcassonne, take the D118 road and turn left onto the D613. Then, make a right onto the D14 road passing through Rennes les Bains, Bugurach, Cubieres, and Soulatge. After the village, there will be a sign for "La Gigude" indicating a right turn. Take this right turn and continue for 1.5 kilometers.
If you are coming from Perpignan, take the D117 road and continue past the airport towards Estagel and Maury. At Maury, turn right onto the D19 road. When you reach Cucugnan, make a left turn onto the D14 road. Just before Soulatge, there will be a sign for "La Gigude" indicating a left turn. Take this left turn and then make a right turn for 1.5 kilometers.
