Description for Gite

Welcome to Tauleigne, a beautiful vacation house located on the border of a vast forest. Situated on the south side of a mountain, the property offers stunning views and is protected from the Mistral winds by nearby cliffs. Tauleigne is located in the community of Bollène in the department of Vaucluse, within the region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The entrance to the property is accessed through the village of Saint-Restitut in the Rhône-Alpes region. The property is easily accessible via the A7 highway, just 7 kilometers from the Bollène exit.

Spanning 32 acres, Tauleigne boasts a tranquil ambiance with oak and evergreen oak trees planted in magnificent ledges of rocks and cliffs. The property is dominated by the ruins of the Château de Chabrière and offers breathtaking views of the countryside of Bollène, the Dentelles de Montmirail, and Mont Ventoux. A charming grass garden lined with laurel roses, lavender, snatolines, and rosemary surrounds the house, along with a small oak wood that provides shaded areas. The garden also features a swimming pool, perfect for relaxing or keeping children entertained. Adjacent to the house, a restored ruin serves as a barbecue area. A large garden table and outdoor lighting allow for pleasant meals in the midst of nature. The terraces near the house are ideal for playing the game of pétanque. Additionally, a poolside cabana houses the pool filters, a clothes washer, a refrigerator, and toilets.

The garden and swimming pool are maintained twice a week, and there is an automatic sprinkler system.

As for the house itself, it can accommodate 10 to 12 people and is a charming Provençal stone masonry dating back to the early 19th century. The house features stone windowsills and door frames, as well as a roof made of ancient Roman tiles. The facade of the house has two front doors, one leading to the living room and the other to the kitchen.

On the first floor, three interconnected rooms comprise the kitchen, eating area, living room, and dining room. The kitchen is equipped with modern amenities such as a sink, electric burners, an electric oven, a dishwasher, and all the necessary tools for preparing meals. The living room, located in the center of the house, features well-preserved stone walls and a wooden ceiling. It also includes a wood hearth for cozy evenings. The dining room has a large table perfect for gathering with all the guests. Throughout these rooms, the filtered light enters through small, carefully designed windows in the Provençal style.

The second floor consists of two rooms, a bathroom, and a hallway. The bigger room, situated above the living room, offers a double bed, night tables, and a dresser. It can also accommodate an infant's bed if needed. The second room has a double bed, night tables, and a built-in wardrobe. The hallway leads to a bathroom with a sink and a shower/bath with thermostatic control. Additionally, there is a separate toilet on this floor.

A second hallway on the second floor leads to a toilet, a second bathroom with a shower/bath, sink, and shelving arrangement, and a room with two single beds, one of which has a pull-out bed. A staircase from this hallway leads to the third floor, which features a dormitory with two beds on each side of a wardrobe. Each of the four beds also has a pull-out bed, allowing the dormitory to accommodate up to six people. The rooms on the second and third floors have polished pine wood floors, adding to their charm.

Tauleigne is conveniently located near various tourist attractions in the region. The surrounding cliffs offer numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, allowing visitors to explore the charming stone-age village, Château de Barry, and the medieval castle of Chabrière. Nearby, the Celliers du Dauphin offers tours of their aging cellars. The region is also known for its lavender fields, which bloom from mid-June to the end of July. Other notable attractions include Mont Ventoux, Avignon with its famous festival in July, the Palais des Papes, Roman ruins in Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine, and various castles and villages showcasing the rich history and culture of Provence.

In addition, Tauleigne is just over an hour's drive from the sea, with Le-Grau-du-Roi and La-Grande-Motte within reach. The mountains of Verdon are only an hour away, while the Alps, offering skiing opportunities, can be reached in two hours.
