Description for B&B:

Experience the charm and elegance of MAISON 1780, a newly established and welcoming destination that impresses with its bold and refined decor.

Situated in Cournon d'Auvergne, between the Regional Natural Parks of Volcanoes and Livradois-Forez, MAISON 1780 is located in the heart of the Auvergne region. Just 15 minutes southeast of Clermont-Ferrand and a mere 5 minutes from the Zenith and the Grande Halle d'Auvergne, it offers convenience and accessibility.

With its ideal location, MAISON 1780 is the perfect base for exploring all the major attractions in the region, all within an hour's reach.

As you pass through the gate, you will be enchanted by the secluded and lush green surroundings of this 18th-century former winemaker's farm. Fully restored in 2017, it offers a haven of tranquility and a break from the demands of everyday life.

Our three bedrooms, "BERRY," "POLLEN," and "POTIRON," including a spacious family suite, are located on the first floor and overlook the beautiful garden adorned with fig trees, lilacs, lavenders, rosemary, and oleander. Each room is designed to create a soothing ambiance with its combination of calming colors, ensuring your comfort and relaxation during your stay.

- The "POTIRON" room (28m2) features a double bed (160 x 200) and a private bathroom and toilet.

- The "POLLEN" room (29m2) is a family room with a double bed (160 x 200) and an independent living room that can be converted into a second bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190) upon request. It also has a private bathroom and separate toilet on the same floor. Please note that the house is not suitable for children under 12.

- The "BERRY" room (12m2) offers a double bed (160 x 200) or two single beds (80 x 200), along with a private bathroom and separate toilet on the same floor.

The interior of the house combines modern and traditional elements, with volcanic lava stone staircases and slabs, old fireplaces, lime-washed timber-framed walls, original oak floors, vaulted ceilings, and traditional French tomettes. The decor showcases a blend of period furniture, designer pieces, and cherished objects, creating a warm and inviting "family home" atmosphere.

Guests have access to spacious common areas, including a dining room and living room.

The surrounding hills beckon you to take leisurely strolls, or you can relax on the terrace or under the shade of the fig trees on a comfortable lounger after a day of exploring the region's treasures.

Indulge in our gourmet and generous breakfasts, where you will rediscover the joy of savoring every moment. We serve a variety of homemade products, including jams, brioche, pastries, organic bread and yogurt, local honey, cereals, fresh fruit, high-quality loose-leaf tea, and fruit juices.

For dinner, we offer a table d'hôte experience by reservation (45 euros per adult, including wine / 35 euros per child under 18). Our menu includes a house cocktail from MAISON 1780, a starter, a main course, a selection of regional cheeses, and a delectable dessert. Our cuisine pays homage to seasonal produce and the culinary treasures of our region.

To assist you in your explorations, we provide several itineraries highlighting the region's must-visit sites.
