Description for Gite

There are 2 gîtes and a large guestroom available on the property. One of the gîtes, called "La Maison," is a spacious loft-style house with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It is situated in a partially converted old barn that now serves as a residence. Inside, you'll find a dining area with an open kitchen and a comfortable sitting area with a TV offering Dutch and some English channels. The bedrooms are equipped with a 180x200 box spring bed, which can be split into two separate beds if needed. An additional single bed can also be added. Outside, there is a charming terrace where you can relax and enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty.

The second gîte, known as "Le Chalet," is a cozy cottage with a stunning view of the valley from its private terrace. It features a kitchenette, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet, a sleeping area with a comfortable double box spring bed, and a sitting area with a sofa bed. Additionally, a walkway from the terrace leads to a treehouse equipped with a bunk bed for children. For your peace of mind, a camera is installed in the treehouse, allowing you to monitor your children through a monitor in the gîte.

Lastly, "The Doré" is a romantic and spacious room with a double bed, as well as two single beds for children. The room includes a shower room with a walk-in shower and a separate toilet. In the morning, you will be treated to a delightful breakfast consisting of delicious pastries, baguette, fruit salad, fresh fruit juice, and homemade specialties. If you prefer not to cook, there is also an option to dine with the owners and potentially other guests.

Directions

To reach Lauzerte by car, you can take the A20 highway from either Cahors or Agen. From Brussels, the distance is approximately 900 km, and from Amsterdam, it is about 1,100 km. In Paris, follow the signs towards Bordeaux, then continue towards Orleans and Vierzon. Take the exit towards the A20, heading towards Toulouse. Once on the A20, take exit number 58 (Cahors South) and then follow the N20 towards Cahors. Just before reaching Cahors, turn onto the D653 towards Montcuq. Stay on the D653 until you reach Lauzerte. At the junction with the D2, go towards Montaigu de Quercy. After about 7 km, take a left turn onto the D60 towards Toufailles. After 2 km, you will reach the intersection of Pont Fourcat. Bounetis Bas is located at the top, and there are signs to guide you. For GPS navigation, enter the city as Lauzerte, the street as Pont Fourcat, and there is no house number specified.

If you prefer to travel by train, Lauzerte is accessible by TGV via Agen, which is approximately 40 km away from Lauzerte.

If you plan to travel by plane, the closest airports to Bounetis Bas are Toulouse and Bergerac, both about an hour's drive away. It is recommended to book a car rental from your home as it is more affordable and convenient. Toulouse airport offers connections with Zaventem (Brussels Airline & EasyJet), Amsterdam (KLM), and Lille (EasyJet & Hop!). Bergerac airport has connections with Rotterdam (Transavia) and Charleroi (Ryanair).
