Description for B&B:

The Domaine de Blacons is a charming family home that effortlessly combines simplicity and elegance, creating a timeless atmosphere. Passed down through generations, we are dedicated to preserving this cherished property and sharing our love for the beautiful Drome Valley region, continuing an adventure that was started by our parents almost four decades ago.

Nestled in the heart of the Drome Valley, between the magnificent Vercors and Provence, this 17th century residence, typical of the area, consists of two main buildings perched on gently sloping terrain. Our warm and welcoming hospitality ensures that guests feel right at home, no matter the season, in a natural environment that seamlessly blends comfort and refinement. Surrounding the property are three hectares of gardens, where the soothing sound of chirping crickets creates an idyllic setting for a peaceful escape. During the renovations carried out between 2010 and 2013, we prioritized the use of ecological materials, reflecting our commitment to environmental awareness. Our utmost priority is to cater to the desires of our guests, ensuring that they lack for nothing, while also sharing our personal experiences of the unique wonders of this region.

The domaine serves as an ideal starting point for exploring the breathtaking Drome, a paradise for nature enthusiasts, offering a multitude of outdoor activities. Along the River Drome and in the Roanne valley, visitors can partake in various watersports. Paragliding, horse riding, mountain biking, and numerous nature trails are also available, catering to the adventurous spirit of walkers and climbers. The nearby sloping Saou forest is particularly beloved by outdoor enthusiasts. Mirabel-et-Blacons village serves as a gateway to the Regional Natural Park of the Vercors and the Valley of Gervanne, where fresh waterfalls, stunning cliffs, and lush countryside await. Thanks to the region's exceptional climate and commitment to sustainable agricultural methods, biodiversity thrives here, making Drome the first department in France to be designated Bio. Exploring the area's superb markets provides an opportunity to discover and savor exceptional local products. History enthusiasts can embark on a Michelin-recognized excursion to the medieval tower of Crest and explore the charming mountaintop villages, where talented artists and artisans showcase their creations.
