Throughout the restoration process, we have made sure to preserve the authenticity of the farmhouse.

We are passionate about this region and would be delighted to share with you the remarkable sites it has to offer. Whether it's the stunning coastline, the marshes, or the groves, we can provide you with information and guidance. Additionally, we have extensive knowledge of the local history, particularly events related to the World War II historical sites.

Martine is fluent in English and German, ensuring effective communication during your stay.

We offer two comfortable rooms, both equipped with Wi-Fi. The first room boasts a garden view and can accommodate two or three guests. It features a 160 cm bed and a 90 cm bed, with the possibility of an extra bed. Just two meters away, on the landing, you will find a private bathroom with a toilet.

The second room is a family suite that can accommodate up to four guests (or can be booked for two). It includes a spacious double room with a 160 cm bed and an en-suite bathroom with a toilet. Adjacent to this room is a small children's room with two 90 cm beds.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast served in our dining room, which features a charming old fireplace. We offer a variety of options, including fruit juices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, freshly baked bread and pastries with homemade jams, dairy products, and a selection of fruits or cereals.

On the first floor, you can relax in the mezzanine lounge area, where we provide coffee, tea, and herbal teas for your enjoyment.

For outdoor enthusiasts, we have garden furniture at both the front and back of the house, allowing you to bask in the sun from mid-morning until evening. The garden is a perfect place to spend leisurely moments. Children can also enjoy the playset under the supervision of their parents.

If needed, we can provide baby equipment such as a cot, baby bath, and high chair. Ironing equipment is also available upon request.

We look forward to welcoming you to our cozy farmhouse and ensuring you have a memorable stay in the Cotentin.

Appréciations pour Les Grandes Portes, Flottemanville:

A delightful stay
Review by: Scott LeCraw, Juin 19 2019 3:10PM
Our party of five had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at Les Grandes Portes, a B&B owned and operated by Martine and Serge. The house is very nicely located for a visit to the beaches of D-Day, being 15 minutes from Sainte-Mère Église and 20 minutes from the landing beaches.

They have two rooms, one of which is actually a suite with a small bed room attached. That worked very well for us as our group of five was actually two families. My wife and I took the Azurine room, which has a queen bed and a single. Her sister took the Viaelis room, which has a double bed and then two singles in the attached room, all of which worked very well for her and her two older children.

Martine is fluent in English, which was good since only two of our party had any French at all. We found her and Serge to be a lot of fun to be with and to be very attentive to our needs. They had a very nice continental breakfast laid out for us every morning, including one morning when we were headed to a special event and asked for breakfast at 4:30 AM!

While I don't know if another trip to Normandy is in my future, if it is, I will be staying at Les Grandes Portes!
