Don't miss out on this peaceful haven located just 9 kilometers away from Sarlat! Situated halfway between Sarlat and Montignac-Lascaux, this exquisite 18th-century authentic house is nestled in a vast park spanning 3 hectares. The property boasts a large saltwater swimming pool measuring 14x7m.

Our charming bed and breakfast offers five uniquely decorated bedrooms, all facing south and providing separate entrances. Each bedroom opens up to the garden and features a private bathroom, equipped with either a shower or a bath and toilets.

Start your day with a delightful breakfast served either in the dining room or in the garden under the orchard, depending on the season. Our breakfast spread includes a variety of homemade jams, fresh bread straight from the oven, and a selection of fruit salad or cakes. In this tranquil setting, the only sound that will wake you up in the morning is the beautiful melody of birdsong.

On select evenings, we offer the option to dine on-site with prior reservation. Our menu showcases traditional local dishes such as foie gras, duck, ceps, and cabecou.

From our holiday rentals, you can easily access the most stunning attractions of the Périgord Noir, including Sarlat, Lascaux, les Eyzies, and the Dordogne valley, all in under 20 minutes. A little further out, you can explore Padirac, Rocamadour, Bergerac and Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and Collonges la Rouge.

For nature enthusiasts, there are hiking trails right at the edge of our garden, ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours in duration. The more adventurous can even embark on a 3-hour walk to the beautiful gardens of the Eyrignac manor.

Description for Gite

Don't miss out on this tranquil haven located just 9 kilometers from Sarlat! Thomas Barn is situated in the beautiful landscape of the "Granges Hautes" park, facing south. It consists of two separate two-level holiday cottages, each measuring 50 square meters and accommodating 2 or 3 people.

The ground floor of the cottages features a comfortable living and dining area with a television. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern amenities such as a dishwasher, combined oven, refrigerator, ceramic stove tops, and washing machine. There are also independent toilets on this level.

Upstairs, you'll find a cozy bedroom with a double bed (160 cm wide), and in one of the cottages, an additional single bed (90 cm wide). A bathroom completes the first floor.

Within the park, you'll have access to a private garden with outdoor furniture and a pool. Additionally, there are hiking trails located just beyond the garden, ranging from 20 minutes to 5 hours. For the more adventurous, a 3-hour walk will take you to the stunning gardens of the Eyrignac Manor.

Located in the heart of Périgord Noir, Thomas Barn offers easy access to 80% of the region's main attractions within a 20-minute drive. Sarlat, Beynac, La Roque Gageac, Les Eyzies, Montignac, Lascaux, The Eyrignac Gardens, The Dordogne and Vézère valley are all nearby. For those willing to venture a bit further, Padirac, Rocamadour, Bergerac, Cahors vineyards, Périgueux, and Collonges la Rouge are within reach.

Périgord boasts an abundance of sites to explore, with a chapel, house, or castle seemingly around every corner, not to mention the unforgettable gardens!

Un très beau séjour chez Anouk et Gilles: la qualité de leur accueil nous a profondément touchés.
Le cadre est magnifique, extérieur comme intérieur, amoureusement entretenu; une cuisine de très grande qualité et des petites attentions émouvantes, sans compter les conseils judicieux pour les visites touristiques.
Merci infiniment pour ce moment passé chez vous, notre meilleur souvenir parmi les maisons d'hôtes que nous avons fréquentées

Directions

If you are coming from Sarlat, continue in the direction of "Brive La Gaillarde" until you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet." When you see the signboard indicating the beginning of the village, proceed straight for approximately 200 meters. Ignore the second signboard on your right for "Saint Crépin." Eventually, you will reach the village center where you will see the school on your left and the town hall on your right. The road to "Les Granges Hautes" will be on your right, directly in front of the town hall (look for the signboard). The house is approximately 100 meters down this road.

If you are coming from the A20 motorway, take the "Brive la gaillarde" exit if you are coming from the north or the "Souillac" exit if you are coming from the south. Follow the directions for Sarlat or Salignac, and continue on the road towards Sarlat for about 4 kilometers after reaching Salignac. Once you reach "Saint Crépin et Carlucet," continue straight for approximately 100 meters before taking the road to "Les Granges Hautes" on your left. This road begins just in front of the town hall, near the school. The house is approximately 100 meters down this road.
