Description for B&B:

Experience the charm and character of our tastefully renovated 19th-century stone cottage. Set in a peaceful hamlet near the tranquil river Vienne, our cottage offers comfortable accommodation in the heart of the picturesque Charente countryside. This idyllic part of France is renowned for its rolling landscapes, enchanting villages, and medieval chateaux. Just a short 10-minute stroll across the river Vienne, you'll find the delightful village of Exideuil, where you can enjoy amenities such as a bakery for your morning croissant, a chemist, a grocery store, and charming bars.

Immerse yourself in traditional French life in the Charente region, where the pace of life is slow and you can relax with a leisurely glass of pineau, a delightful local wine fortified with cognac, while observing the world go by. For those seeking a more active holiday, there are numerous options for day trips to suit all ages and interests. Explore beautiful old towns like Confolens, Angouleme, and Cognac, famous for its cognac houses. Discover the stunning countryside, meandering rivers perfect for kayaking, and dense forests with walking and cycling trails for adventurous explorations. Dive into the refreshing Charente lakes, many of which offer lifeguard supervision and beachside facilities. Don't miss out on the opportunity to visit golf courses, chateaux, zoos, and Roman villas - two weeks will hardly be enough time to indulge in all the wonders this region has to offer.

Conveniently located just 30 minutes from Limoges Airport, our cottage is easily accessible. If you prefer to travel by car, it's approximately a 5-hour drive from the ferry ports of Caen or St Malo (ask us for a discount code if you're using Brittany Ferries). Please feel free to reach out to us for more details on routes or any other queries you may have - we're always here to assist you.
