Welcome to The Grape Escape, a charming gite that can accommodate 2 to 4 people. This semi-detached cottage is nestled in the beautiful countryside, with one side facing the courtyard and the other two sides overlooking the picturesque vineyards. You can even catch a glimpse of the enchanting forested valley through the grand room's five large double windows.

Inside, you'll find a spacious seating area furnished with comfortable sofas and chairs, as well as a king-size (or single, depending on your needs) bed. The second bedroom features two single beds that can be converted into a kingsize double bed, along with a set of drawers for your convenience. The generous bathroom offers a luxurious experience with a bath, stand-alone shower, WC, basin, and stunning views. Additionally, there's a walk-in cupboard/utility room to cater to your storage and practical needs.

Step outside onto the paved and shaded terrace, where you can unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The terrace is furnished with a garden table, chairs, sun loungers, umbrella, and barbecue, perfect for relaxing and dining alfresco. As you enter the spacious French-country kitchen and living area, you'll find modern cupboards, new appliances (including a dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, cooker, and washing machine), a cozy breakfast nook, and a separate dining table.

We are delighted to share the kind words of a previous guest, Cathy & Tony from Ireland, who loved their stay at The Grape Escape, praising the gite, the breathtaking views, the location, and, of course, the wine!

Introducing the Wine Cottage, a separate accommodation located on the opposite side of the courtyard from the main house. With its stunning view up the valley of Saussignac, this cottage offers a romantic getaway for up to 4 people. The Wine Cottage boasts two luxury en suite bedrooms and a large open plan kitchen, dining, and living area. Fully equipped, luxuriously furnished, and ecologically constructed, this cottage is designed to indulge your love of wine.

No matter the season, you'll experience comfort and warmth with underfloor heating throughout the cottage. The wooden floors, high ceilings, and use of natural materials further enhance the sense of space and luxury.

Directions

Here are revised travel directions to find Chateau Haut Garrigue:

To reach Chateau Haut Garrigue, located on the edge of Saussignac village, follow these instructions. Starting from Bordeaux airport, drive along the northbound ring road in the direction of Paris and Nantes. After crossing the Pont d'Aquitaine, take exit 1, marked Libourne Perigueux, and stay on the right side of the road. Then, take exit 26 to Libourne. Continue for 18.5 kilometers and take exit 9 to Libourne. After 6 kilometers, take the right exit for Bergerac, St Emilion, and Libourne est. At the top of the ramp, turn right towards Bergerac and follow this road, which is referred to as D936 on the map below. Upon reaching Gardonne (approximately one hour from Bordeaux), turn right at the Renault garage onto the D4 road towards Saussignac. After driving for 4 kilometers from Gardonne, you will encounter a crossing with a district road (D14) and the road to Saussignac will start to ascend. Around 100 meters after crossing the district road, take the left fork, indicated by a signpost for Chat La Garrigue (us). Immediately after, take the next left turn (just before the cemetery). You will find Chateau Haut Garrigue as the last property on this road. If you are coming from Bergerac, take the Bordeaux road and then turn left at the Renault garage in Gardonne, following the directions mentioned above. For GPS coordinates, our location is at Lat N44 48.412 and Long E0 19.756.
