Description for B&B:

La Souqueto, named after the vines that provide shade for both the front and back of the house, is a beautifully restored and renovated Maison Bourgeoise. The house combines a mix of old and new furnishings and decorations, creating a charming and inviting atmosphere. Situated on the edge of the village, the sounds and sights of the nearby river can be enjoyed, while being conveniently located in the heart of the old medieval center.

At La Souqueto, guests can expect a relaxed and friendly ambiance, with plenty to stimulate the body, mind, and senses. The breakfast spread includes freshly made coffee, tea, croissants, breads, conserves, and fresh fruit, along with a seasonal treat such as a tart, a layered yoghurt-and-fruit cup, or a cake. The house's decor, artifacts, libraries, and spacious, bright artist's studio provide ample artistic inspiration. Additionally, guests can unwind on the roof terrace or small patio for some private relaxation. The rooms are thoughtfully decorated, and toiletries, hairdryers, and fluffy towels are provided. If there are any additional needs, the hosts are happy to assist.

For dinner, guests have the option to request evening meals, or they can explore the two restaurants within walking distance, one of which is located right next door, and the other by the river. The village itself offers various activities such as swimming, petanque, tennis, fishing, and horseback riding.

Located in a picturesque Minervois village between Carcassonne and Béziers, La Souqueto is an ideal base for those looking to explore the central Languedoc-Roussillon region. Within an hour's drive, guests can discover medieval villages, ancient towns and cities, Cathar strongholds, the enchanting Canal du Midi, beautiful Mediterranean beaches, and the untamed landscapes of the Black Mountains. Additionally, La Souqueto offers art workshops, cookery courses, and language lessons, providing guests with even more opportunities to enhance their stay. Please contact us for more information.
