Description:

Description for Gite

In the horse city of Maisons-Laffitte, we have meticulously restored this accommodation in the former stables, exuding a quintessentially "French" charm. Whether you're a tourist or a business traveler, you'll relish in the rare and unique ambiance we offer.

Step into a gray Trianon paved courtyard adorned with antique furniture, comfortable chairs, and carpets on a light wood floor. The curtains and bedspread are made of exquisite toile de Jouy fabric, while the leather-covered desk, bronze sconces, and crystal chandelier add an elegant touch. The dining experience is enhanced by our tasteful crockery and high-quality Egyptian cotton bed linens.

We have taken care to ensure modern comforts are provided, including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, extractor hood, espresso machine, refrigerator, freezer, a separate bedroom with a 160-bed, and two beds in the living room. Entertainment options include a color TV with cable, DVD player, printer, wireless internet, telephone, and even essentials like an iron and ironing board, hairdryer, and vacuum cleaner.

The train station is just an 8-minute walk away, allowing you to reach Paris easily via the RER A line (10 minutes to La Defense, 15 minutes to Champs Elysées), or the SNCF train, which takes you to Saint Lazare station in 20 minutes, near renowned department stores like Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. The RER A line also conveniently serves Disneyland.

Within a 10-minute walk to the city center, you'll discover The Grocery Longueil, a famous delicatessen in the region, as well as a supermarket, hard-discount store, numerous restaurants, bakeries, and more. The city park, originally built in the seventeenth century by Mansart, is home to many stunning mansions, two of which have been converted into gourmet restaurants.

If you're a horse enthusiast, the nearby racecourse offers the opportunity to admire the stables and watch thoroughbreds train. You can also partake in horseback riding, golfing, or take a leisurely stroll in the beautiful Saint Germain en Laye forest (only 10 minutes away).

Just 7km away is Saint Germain en Laye, a bustling city known for its shopping and as the birthplace of Louis XIV. Explore the castle, built by François the First, and visit the Museum of National Antiquities. From the terrace, spanning an impressive 2400 meters, you can enjoy an exceptional view of Paris.

Versailles and its iconic palace are a mere 20 km away, while the Claude Monet Foundation in Giverny can be reached in 62 km via the highway. As third-generation antiques dealers in Maisons-Laffitte for 35 years, we are passionate about sharing our love for our city, region, and Paris, often referred to as "the most beautiful city in the world!"
