Les Bruyeres at Verteuil sur Charente offers an unbeatable location, top-notch facilities, and high-quality accommodation. Whether you're house hunting, enjoying a peaceful holiday, or just passing through, this place has it all. The property is currently for sale, so don't hesitate to contact the owners for more information.

As you drive through the picturesque Charente countryside, you may stumble upon the charming village of Verteuil, just five minutes south of the bustling market town of Ruffec. This tranquil village is nestled by the river Charente, with a 15th-century chateau overlooking its walls. In addition to its natural beauty, the village also boasts three cafe/bars, two restaurants, bakers, butchers, a tabac/general store, pharmacy, and more.

Upon entering Les Bruyeres, you'll be greeted by a private courtyard enclosed by high walls. In the summer, the courtyard is adorned with stunning hanging baskets and flower arrangements. At the back of the courtyard, there's an open barn providing secure, covered parking for up to six cars.

The accommodation at Les Bruyeres consists of three spacious, en suite bedrooms and a communal kitchen dining area. The converted barn retains many original features, such as exposed beams and dressed Charantaise stone. All rooms are equipped with central heating.

Each of the three bedrooms features an en suite bathroom with a shower, hand washbasin, and toilet. Ample wardrobe and drawer storage, English to French electric adapters, a hairdryer, and a radio/CD alarm are provided in each room. Rooms are serviced daily, with a towel change if desired. Shampoo, shower gel, and soap are also provided. If needed, a baby cot or additional camp bed can be added to any of the rooms.

The ground floor family room offers a double bed, two wardrobes, and a sitting area with easy chairs, a coffee table, and a double bed that can accommodate families.

On the first floor, there are two double rooms. One room features a double and single bed, while the other has a double bed. Both rooms include a dressing table, easy chairs, and built-in wardrobes.

One of the unique offerings at Les Bruyeres is the fully fitted kitchen available exclusively to guests. This kitchen includes a four-ring electric hob and oven, microwave oven, fridge, kettle, coffee percolator, slow cooker, toaster, steamer, and a full set of pots, pans, casseroles, and utensils. Crockery, glasses, and cutlery are also provided. The dining table can seat up to eight people. Guests are welcome to help themselves to free tea and coffee at any time. The kitchen area also features English TV with Freeview channels, a wide selection of board games and videos, and information on local attractions and dining options. WIFI internet access is available in all rooms.

There is a separate laundry area with washing, drying, and ironing facilities for guests' convenience.

If you're house hunting, the owners are more than happy to share their knowledge and answer any questions about the property buying and renovation process, as well as integrating into French life. For those seeking a relaxing break, the owners are available to provide advice on local attractions and places to visit.

Outside, French doors from the kitchen lead to an East-facing sun terrace with a covered gazebo, perfect for enjoying breakfast in the morning sunshine. The lawned garden surrounds the property, featuring a pergola walkway on three sides and ample sun exposure throughout the day.

Appréciations pour Les Bruyeres, Verteuil sur Charente:

TR3 recalcitrante..!!!!
Review by: jean Marie, Juil 10 2018 5:07PM
Excellente adresse
Lovely !

My husband and I stayed here for 3 days while looking for a house to buy Fabulous location overlooking the Charente. To have a full kitchen at ones disposal in a B&B is rare and very much appreciated. We were given lots of useful information regarding the area and before we left had bought a house in the village. Thank you Adam and Jan for such an enjoyable comfortable stay.

Unobtrusive hosts Jan and Adam were welcoming, friendly and informative. A relaxed and laid-back manner is the signature of their business. On-site parking was important to us as was the proximity of the property to the attractive centre of Verteuil. A three or four minute walk across two little bridges spanning the Charente river and you're there! Our accommodation was bright, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Many guests return to Les Bruyeres time and again and my wife and I will be following suit. Highly recommended.
parfait !
