Description:

Description for B&B:

Experience a warm and inviting atmosphere at La Vieille Distillerie, a beautifully restored Maison de Maitre from the mid-nineteenth century, complete with its own former Cognac distillery.

During the winter months, our centrally heated house offers an even cozier ambiance with crackling log fires and candlelit dinners.

Located in the charming south Charente region, there is an array of activities to enjoy, including cookery classes at renowned establishments like Chez Cartier with Reza Mahammed. Explore local Cognac distilleries, indulge in wine-tasting, play a round of golf, go fishing, horse-riding, or bird-watching. Discover the rich history of nearby towns and villages, with intriguing Chateaux and beautiful gardens waiting to be explored.

Nestled in the peaceful hamlet of Le Tatre, just 4 km off the N10 route to the South and Spain, our location serves as a convenient stopover or an ideal base for exploring the breathtaking French countryside.

Surrounded by vineyards, sunflower fields, and rolling landscapes, the serene roads are perfect for cyclists, walkers, and birdwatchers. Look out for fascinating species like the Hoopoe, Black Redstart, Serin, Black Kite, and Zetting Cisticole in the Le Tatre area.

For those searching for a new home, we are excellently positioned near the borders of three Departments: the Charente Maritime, the Gironde, and the Dordogne. Within a few yards from our house, you'll find a fishing lake and a tennis court. Our garden is graced by an eleventh-century church, adding to the enchanting ambiance.

Appréciations pour La Vieille Distillerie, Le Tatre:

Pour une nuit
Review by: Rémy et Agnès , Sep 22 2019 7:27PM
