During that time, yellow ocher was extracted and transported via barge to Paris and Amsterdam, where it was used in the production of oil paint. The remnants of this fascinating process can still be observed in the nearby quarry from which this precious pigment was derived.

The guest house "Le Relais de Chasse" is a separate dwelling with its own garden.
